Hello Paul, I am a Microsoft user like you, providing solutions to community members; I am NOT a Microsoft employee. Having trouble with your AirPods Pro during Teams meetings can be frustrating Paul. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix the audio issues you're experiencing: General Troubleshooting: 1. Check Connection and Battery: Ensure your AirPods Pro are properly connected to your device (laptop, phone, etc.) by checking the Bluetooth settings. Verify that both AirPods have sufficient battery life. 2. Select Audio Device in Teams: During a Teams meeting, access the meeting controls. There's usually a gear icon or three dots (...) to open settings. Look for the option to select your audio device. Make sure "AirPods Pro" (or similar) is selected for both microphone and speaker. 3. Disconnect from Other Devices: While using Teams, disconnect your AirPods from any other devices (phones, tablets) to avoid conflicting audio outputs. Specific Issues and Solutions: No Audio: Check the volume controls on both your device and your AirPods. Try restarting your Teams app and reconnecting your AirPods. In the Teams audio settings, ensure "Do not use microphone in device settings" is not enabled. Others Can't Hear You: Verify the microphone selection in Teams settings is set to "AirPods Pro." Check if your microphone is muted accidentally within the Teams meeting. Consider testing your microphone with a separate voice recording app to ensure it's functioning correctly. Additional Tips: -Forget and Re-Pair AirPods: If the above solutions don't work, try forgetting your AirPods in the Bluetooth settings and then re-pairing them to your device. -Update Teams App: While you have the latest version checked, it might be worth manually checking for updates again within the Teams app itself in case there are very recent updates available. -Microsoft Support: If none of these solutions work, consider contacting Microsoft support for further assistance. They might be able to offer more specific troubleshooting steps based on your situation. Here's a link to their support page: https://support.microsoft.com While you mentioned having the latest version of Teams, there could be compatibility issues between Microsoft Teams and the specific firmware version of your AirPods Pro. Unfortunately, this might require waiting for updates on either side (Teams or AirPods firmware) to fully resolve the problem. Some users have reported issues with AirPods Pro and microphone functionality specifically on Microsoft Teams meetings. Hope this helps -Stephen N.

Thank you, Stephen.

I have completed all the troubleshooting steps. The AirPods work well with my laptop, except for the Teams application. I am anticipating an update for Teams that will resolve this issue.

Regards,

Paul

Today I was in a teams meeting in my browser on a Mac running the latest OS. Almost 50 minutes in, my AirPod ran out of battery. After multiple attempts at reconnecting (the audio settings were greyed out - no selection possible) I shut off Bluetooth and the computer audio did not pick up for input or output. There was NO audio.

I left the meeting and tried to reconnect and it said, “no audio” was selected without the ability to select audio. The audio settings were not selectable (greyed out).

Usually, when / if my AirPod runs out in. Meeting, the system defaults to the computer audio. In this case it defaulted to “no audio.”

Finally, I tried to dial in manually using my mobile phone, but by the time I entered the meeting ID#, everyone had left the meeting.

I suspect the browser version had something to do with this unfortunate glitch. The meeting was very important and the fact I could not access audio again is extremely disappointing.

I experience the same thing with the MS Teams desktop application. After some time in a call the AirPods disconnect, absolutely no input, no output, all other options to hear or speak are grayed out. I have Jabra Evolve heaphones, when I plug them in - the PC won't recognize them either. I am also not able to swith to my PC input and output devices. MS Teams reset doesn't help, reset of the PC doesn't help either. After some time in this situation I see the Teams spit several messages for "Your mic is not working, try another device", "Your headphones are not working, try using another device." and after that it recognizes the input and output device I am connected to at the moment. This seems to me like a severe bug. I am wating forward for the fix.

Hello all,

Any input as to when this AirPod Pro fix will be coming for Teams? I am encountering the following - no audio, volume goes up, down, loss of audio and a lot of static. Any insight on a "potential date" would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Hello everyone,

I have the same issue. However, it started after I installed Windows 11.

Now, when I join any MS Teams call, my AirPods (Version 3) disconnect immediately. As soon as I leave the call, they reconnect.
It seems like a Bluetooth issue, but I can't find a fix.

Here is what I tried:
- restarting MS Teams and windows 11

- disconnecting and removing the AirPods from all devices

- reconnecting the Airpods only to the laptop

- reinstalled MS Teams.

- stop and started the Bluetooth Audio Gateway service

I would appreciate any other ideas or an actual fix.

Same issue here. The Apple Pro Max Headset does Audio and Mic. When using the Airpods Pro I can only use them as speakers, even so mic is selected there is no audio coming in. Even in my Windows Audio Controls panel, under input, there is 0.

I am running the latest Bluetooth driver

My AirPods were not working with Microsoft Teams. They work with everything else on the Dell Laptop but NOT teams.

Teams is super quiet for me; but everyone hear me fine

Here is the fix :-

Connect the AirPods to the laptop. Then use the stalk slider on the AirPod to swipe the volume up until you hear a tone.

For some reason the Laptop master volume works on every application except Teams which has a secondary volume hidden which is you can only turn up by using the volume on the AirPod to turn up.

Took me hours to work this out. Hope it helps.

This solution only worked to resolve the speaker issue. The microphone still didn't work. The solution for me was to reset my Airpods pro 2 (pods inserted in case, open lid, hold button for 15 seconds). This reset also resolved the volume issue and allowed controls from Teams slider. Note that I needed to reset the Airpods 2 twice because the first reset reverted to the microphone problem while testing the microphone for the second time. Everything has been working since repeatedly.
